Fly Fishing in Southwest Florida

The Fisheries

The waters surrounding Naples and Fort Myers offer world class opportunities for saltwater fly fishing year-round. The time of year, weather, tide, and your preference dictate the location we will fish, and the species we will fish for.

Everglades & Ten Thousand Islands

Fly fishing in the Everglades/Ten Thousand Islands is a serene and exhilarating experience, immersed in the unique ecosystem of South Florida. Just a short drive from Naples, the vast expanse of shimmering waterways, sawgrass marshes, and mangrove forests creates a backdrop like no other. Anglers navigate through labyrinthine channels teeming with life, searching the murky water for prized catches like tarpon, snook, and redfish.

Pine Island Sound

A short drive from Fort Myers, Pine Island Sound offers an escape into the heart of Florida's Gulf Coast. Known for clear water and tricky fish, this coastal gem attracts anglers seeking everything from redfish and trout to tarpon and snook. With its clear shallow flats, mangrove-lined shores, and scattered oyster bars, the sound provides a picturesque setting for the angler seeking to sight fish these spooky species.

Redfish

Tarpon, also known as the "silver king," are iconic fish renowned for their impressive size, strength, and acrobatic leaps. There is nothing better than hooking a big tarpon on a fly rod. There's a chance of catching a tarpon year-round, but the majority of anglers seek the larger fish during their annual migration.

Redfish

Named for their distinctive coppery-red coloration, they have a characteristic black spot near their tail. Redfish inhabit shallow waters  where they feed on crustaceans and smaller fish. They can be seen "tailing', or cruising flats, and shorelines, sometimes with their whole back out of the water.

Snook

Snook are sleek and predatory fish known for their aggressive strikes, and powerful runs. Snook are ambush predators, often hiding around structure like mangroves, docks, or oyster bars, where they feed on smaller fish and crustaceans.
